On the training session of MotoGP Thailand 2018, Lorenzo falls again

News24xx.com - This Ducati rider finally decided not to take part in the 2018 Thailand MotoGP event. This was mentioned by Ducati after a training session which made it crash enough to free practice on Friday, October 5 2018.

 

Jorge Lorenzo who forced himself even though he still hasn't recovered enough. And in the training session, the second free at the circuit, the rear tire is locked when cornering, and causes it to slam.

 

Ducati had stated that Lorenzo had not suffered a serious injury. The Spanish rider only suffered bruises on his wrists and legs, not to experience a broken bone.

 

But on Saturday (06/10/2018), Lorenzo decided to withdraw from the race. In addition to choosing to avoid the risk of more serious injury, he considered his position was not in the competition to win the world championship.

 

Currently Lorenzo is ranked fourth in the 2018 MotoGP standings with 130 points, behind 116 points from Marc Marquez who leads the championship until the race season leaves five more series.

 

"As I said yesterday, competing opportunities are minimal, but this was before I knew [of] scanning that I had something at the end of the radial bone. So my wrist hurts very badly," Lorenzo was quoted as saying by Autosport (6/10/2018 )

 

"Indeed this is the first Grand Prix in Thailand, I will feel as sad as any other grand prix. I don't want to miss any race. I do everything to get here and try it," said Lorenzo.

 

"If I fight for the championship, maybe I will be more desperate not to lose points, but not with my position in the current championship," he continued.
