This government offers brand new Apple phone for people who reported extremist contents on the internet

News24xx.com - Dagestan Authority, turbulent region in southern Russia offers smart phones in return for anyone who reports extremist content on the internet. The authorities launched a website for the public so that they could report "uploads or writings that promote terrorism or incite religious or ethnic hatred".

The most active members of the public reporting extremism-related activities will get iPhone SE, while the second will get Chinese smartphones, reports Kavkaz-Uzel, a local news site.

Anyone interested in reporting can send a link to the site's hotline and the secret is fully guaranteed. Whatever reports that look dangerous will be forwarded to the police, after receiving an evaluation from anti-terrorism specialists, said Dagestan Religious Affairs Committee. The site has actually been made since last April, announced by deputy communications minister Dagestan, Sergei Singarev.

During a meeting with school students during the launch, Sergei Singarev said that the site "encourages young people to help make us all feel safer" in the region - which borders Chechnya in the northern Caucasus. If people aren't interested with the cellphone offered, they can ask for rewards in the form of skateboards, added the Grani news site.
