A woman falls into a shark tank at a shopping centre in China

A woman was falls into a shark tank during feeding time at a shopping centre in China.  She was hitting her head on the side before splashing into the tank. 

And it was the terrifying moment, because the sharks circle the unfortunate woman after she dramatically fell.

A footage from the shopping centre shows the woman failing to notice the top of the shark tank is open as she runs across the gangway. The suspended glass-bottom fish tank is home to several baby lemon sharks and is one of main attractions at the Wuyue Plaza shopping complex in Jiaxing city, in east China’s Zhejiang province.

But fortunately, she was saved by two security guards who jumped into the tank and pulled her to safety. 

According to a spokesman, she was late for a staff meeting before the shopping centre opened to visitors yesterday, and used the gangway as a shortcut.

"The gangway is off limits during feeding time but the employee was in a rush to get to a meeting. She was quickly rescued from the tank and did not suffer any injuries." the spokesman added.
