News24xx.com -  Direct flights from Moscow to Bali opened on October 29. Indonesia hopes to attract more tourists.

"With direct flights can increase people to people," said Indonesian Ambassador to the Russian Federation and Belarus M Wahid Supriyadi, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, Oct 31 2018.

Wahid said Russian tourists who had come to Bali had increased. In addition, he hopes that visiting Russian tourists can benefit the Balinese economy because Russian tourists usually choose five-star hotels rather than 3-star hotels.

"In terms of the number to Bali alone, Russia has risen to number 13, but in terms of number one spending. In terms of spending spending 18 million. This is very good for us because many of them are 5 star classes," he said.

Besides that Wahid said Russia had never issued a travel warning. One example is a terrorist attack in Surabaya.

"Russia has never issued a travel warning. When there was a terrorist attack in Surabaya. A week after that there was a promotion from the Ministry of Tourism and the odd one that sold 5 stars was not 3 stars," he said.

Wahid said that with direct flights from Russia-Bali it could save time from the previous 18 hours, to 12 hours 15 minutes.

Earlier, Chairman of the Russian Federation Board Valentina Matvienko said Russian-Indonesian direct flights and vice versa were provided by Rossiya Airlines.

This was stated by Valentina Matvienko when welcoming the Delegation of the DPD RI led by Chairman of the DPD Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO) in Moscow, Russia, Tuesday (10/23/2018).
