The government of Pelalawan district improves the education facilities for elementary and middle school

News24xx.com -  Amid the limitations of the regional financial budget, the District Government (Pemkab) of Pelalawan is still consistent with the amount of the budget for the education world, even though it has exceeded the budget.

This was done as the commitment of Pelalawan Regent, Mr. HM. Harris to advance the education world in the Pelalawan.

The commitment is outlined with the Pelalawan Regency's RPJMD. 

Where in RPJMD, the goverment of Pelalawan have a program named the Smart Pelalawan Program as a part of the Pelalawan Regency Government's seven Strategic Programs, the commitment that was maintained in the second period the Mr Harris as Regent of Pelalawan District.

 

In 2018, the Regent of Pelalawan, Mr. HM. Harris has conveyed about that commitment ie to continue to improve the world infrastructure facilities of the education world in Pelalawan, althought in the midst of limited regional financial budgets.

"There are three priority sectors in the 2018 Amendment to Regional Budget (APBD), namely revamping the city of Pangkalan Kerinci, development of draenase and roads and also to improve the educational facilities, "said Pelalawan Regent, Mr. HM. Harris on October 2018.

The means of education referred to study rooms and tools for education. While for school support buildings such as paving blocks, fences, and others, it was eliminated first.

"The main thing such as new classrooms, or renovation for class rooms if it are severely damaged, and also school mobilizers," he added.

The regent for Pelalawan district for two periods, also warned that relevant parties such as the Pelalawan District Education Office should to have students data when time for the New Student Admission (PPDB) is come.

"At least, they should have the data, so we can estimate the space for class rooms is enough or not to accommodate the new students," Harris told to a number of journalists recently.

Mt.  Harris also revealed there was a slight problem with New Student Admission (PPDB) for junior and also for buildings of Senior High School levels in Pangkalan Kerinci District and  Kuras.

"Therefore, the first that we do is to addition of new learning space, especially for the level of junior high school (SMP) in Pangkalan Kerinci, Sorek and others," Harris added.

 

The focus of Pelalawan Regency Government to adding and improving educational facilities and infrastructure in Pelalawan will not stop after the 2018 Amendment Budget. Because in the years ahead, that problem will remain as a priority for Pelalawan Regency Government.

"Pelalawan Cerdas has become our program. And in every year, we will continue to pay attention to the education world in Pelalawan," said Mr. Harris.

The success of the Pelalawan Cerdas program with free education which has been running for more than 6 years is a commitment of Pelalawan Regent HM. Harris in increasing Pelalawan Regency HDI index.

 
Mr. Harris said the growth in the number of students in the company also can not to predictable. 

"Because it could be, there are additional employees, who bring their families to live in the company. But, they are also our citizens, so we must accept. So we will add to the learning space."

The head of Pelalawan District Education Agency,  Saparudin said, his party would be ready to carry out the mandate from  the Pelalawan Regent, to repair educational facilities in Pelalawan. 

"Insya Allah (God willing), we can carry it (the program). Either by direct appointment or by auction," said Saparudin.

The former Head of the Pelalawan District Population and Civil Registration Office also admitted that some schools experienced problems with the lack of learning space during PPDB, especially for junior high school level.

"There are also several schools for elementary schools, but that rather vulnerable are junior high schools in Pangkalan Kerinci District and Pangkalan Kuras Subdistrict," he said.
