BI Riau with related agencies, promoted non-cash transaction

News24xx.com - The campaign for the National Non-Cash Movement (GNNT) is aimed at the millennial generation towards Less Cash Society. This took place at the Bank Indonesia Building on Thursday, November 22, 2018, which was attended by high school students in the city of Pekanbaru.

 

The event, which was opened directly by the Head of the Bank Indonesia Riau Representative Office, Siti Astiyah, Thursday, November 22nd 2018, said that the launch of this GNNT had actually begun since August 14, 2018, through relevant agencies and ministries, namely Bank Indonesia, Provincial / Regional Government and industry players.

 

"The main objective of this national movement is to encourage people to use the payment system and non-cash payment instruments in making payment transactions" he said.

"The target is indeed the millennial generation. Because there are a large number, it reaches 30 percent of Indonesia's population. Many of the gold generation use practical and easy facilities, which only use internet services, they can do everything" explained Siti.

 

Siti claimed that the number of participants who participated in the GNNT program at Bank Indonesia was as many as 200 from various schools, the majority of which were attended by high school students as many as 18 schools in Pekanbaru.

 

"As we all know, Indonesia's people are still relatively low up to now who are doing electronic payment transactions. This is far from neighboring countries in Southeast Asia" Siti said.

 

"Even though the potential of this is quite large in terms of internet service access networks in terms of payment systems in Indonesia" he said.

"Therefore, Bank Indonesia, especially in Pekanbaru and Riau, with this event can convey to other communities, about the use of non-cash payment services, or with the term Less Cash Society / LCS" said Siti.

 

Bank Indonesia Riau Representatives continue to try to convey to the public and banks in terms of security and convenience of transactions with the facilities provided, namely non-cash instruments in economic activities anywhere.
