News24xx.com -  Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi said he did not know what made him the most famous MotoGP rider in the world.

Rossi collected nine Grand Prix world titles. However, the Italian rider has never won the world title since the MotoGP 2009. This season, Rossi was only able to finish in third place in the final standings.

Although he has not been a world champion since 2009, Rossi has never lost his charisma in the MotoGP event. The Doctor is still the rider with the most supporters in each race, even though the series takes place in Spain though.

Rossi's supporters are not only adults or elderly people. Many young audiences are seen supporting Rossi in every race series. They use hats, clothes, and carry a yellow flag with the logo number 46 characteristic of The Doctor.

Rossi claimed he did not understand why he still continued to get the most support even though he had been working for 23 years at the Grand Prix motorcycle race.
"I was lucky because throughout my career, I always got great support, as well as outside Italy. I think that is the result always at the top level for more than 20 years," Rossi was quoted as saying by The Telegraph.

"This is a great feeling. Sometimes I'm surprised because many people know me all over the world. I see many people like to see my face. It's something special, because it means I'm more than a MotoGP racer," Rossi said.

Rossi is certain to continue racing for 41 years because he still has a contract with Yamaha until 2020.
