News24xx.com - Mel Bremner (38), from Aberdeenshire, just wanted to take her shampoo bottle on the floor while she was showering. As she bent down, she saw her organs coming out of her stomach, due to her wound of caesarean section opened up five days after her giving birth. She was having emergency caesarean section on December 9, 2011. Bremner said that she had to grab her own intestines which came out of her body after the surgical scar was opened when she was bent down to get the shampoo.

Luckily, her partner, Aidan Johnson (40) remained calm and immediately called the medics. He covered her with a towel while they waited for the paramedics to arrive. Previously, her partner had noticed two 'white lumps' in the middle of the wound four days after birth, but they were not suspicious. A terrible incident occurred the next day in the bathroom.

"I was only there for a few minutes and I bent down to take the shampoo. I don't remember whether I felt it happen or saw it happen first, but my intestines came out of my stomach. I grabbed it with my own hands " she said and quoted by the Daily Mail.

Her partner guided her calmly from the shower to the sofa, propped up her legs and took a towel to cover her while calling for an ambulance. Bremner said that she did not dare to move her hands at all.

The couple argued that it might be possible because their cesarean surgeon cut the tip of the thread too short when sewing it, or not tie the seam tightly enough. Meanwhile, a spokesman from the hospital where Bremner gave birth, Dr. Gray's Hospital, declined to comment.
