News24xx.com -  Finally, after missing since January 21 2019, a plane that carrying Emiliano Sala was found.

And air accident investigators have confirmed that a body has been recovered from the wreckage of the plane. A body had already been picked up by underwater cameras, but investigators are yet to publicly confirm the identify of the body recovered.

The plane was discovered at the bottom of the English Channel after Sala and pilot David Ibbotson’s Piper Malibu N264DB aircraft went missing over Guernsey.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) are overseeing the search for the wreckage of Sala and released a statement after a body was found. The body is currently being taken to Portland to be passed into the care of the Dorset Coroner.

The AAIB also confirmed attempts to recover the wreckage were abandoned due to bad weather conditions, and their recovery mission was now over.

The AAIB confirmed video of the wreckage would provide valuable evidence for safety investigation and an interim report’would be published within a month.

Before death, Sala was signed by Premier League side Cardiff City in January for a club record fee of £15million, before that Argentine striker and his pilot went missing.

The 28-year-old was on his way back to Cardiff from Nantes after saying his goodbyes to his old team-mates in France.
