News24xx.com - Indonesia's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Agus Maftuh Abegebriel, said the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), will visit Indonesia next week. Even so, Agus was reluctant to explain the agenda of SBM in Jakarta later. "Yes, next week" Agus said when confirmed by CNNIndonesia.com via instant message on Wednesday, February 13th 2019.

Agus did not say how long the successor to the Saudi royal throne will be in Indonesia. "For the detailed agenda, you can check to the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs" said Agus. Foreign media reported that Prince Mohammed will visit a number of countries in Asia such as India, Pakistan, China, Malaysia, and Indonesia starting on this week.

The main agenda of the visit was reported to strengthen Saudi economic and investment cooperation with friendly countries in Asia. This state visit was Prince Mohammed's first visit to Southeast Asia. On the other hand, Prince Mohammed was said to be responsible for the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi on 2 October 2018.

Khashoggi is a reporter that had criticized Prince Mohammed and King Salman, and was killed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey. The United States, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) concluded that Prince Mohammed ordered the assassination of Khashoggi. He was also said to have intended to shoot Khashoggi dead long before the incident occurred.
