Parliament member of Slovenia resigned from his position after getting caught stealing a sandwich

News24xx.com - A member of the Slovenian parliament resigned from his post as people's representative after getting caught stealing a sandwich from a shop in the capital city of Ljubljana. Darij Krajcic, the name of the MP, claimed to local media that he was ignored when he wanted to buy in that shop. Therefore, he decided to test the security of the store by walking out without paying sandwich he ate.

At first, people didn’t notice what he did. However, Krajcic's actions were revealed to the public when he told the incident to fellow MPs at a commission meeting on Wednesday, February 13th 2019. "I stood in front of the window shop for about three minutes" said the 54-year-old man to the television station POP.

According to him, three shop employees did not realize his action because they were busied with their job. "No one was chased me, no one was shouted" he said. He considered that the dependence on CCTV makes employees sometimes ‘ignore something’. "He was responsible for his actions and resigned on his own accord in line with LMS high ethical standards" Golubovic told reporters.

Later Krajcic apologized and regretted the thing he did. Krajcic himself was elected as a member of parliament in September 2018.
