News24xx.com - After more than two decades of observing the surface of the earth through satellites, NASA has confirmed that the world is becoming greener now than in the mid-90s, when compared to the early 2000s, today the earth looks five percent greener. Every day NASA takes four high-resolution photos in each region of the earth.

From the results of these observations, there are two countries that look increasingly green, India and China. Green land in China grows more than 10 percent, and in India is more than six percent. This is far greater than the world average growth of 2.3 percent.

A NASA researcher, Rama Nemani, explained when people were aware of the problem, they would immediately fix it. "In the mid-70-80s, deforestation in India and China was very bad. Until finally in the 1990s, people there realized it and made a change towards a better direction" Nemani said, as quoted by lonelyplanet, on Wednesday, February 20th 2019.

Although overall data related to reforestation in the world seems positive, researchers at NASA warn that there are two countries that need attention because of deforestation. The two countries in question are Indonesia and Brazil, where deforestation continues to occur that will threaten vegetation and diversity of ecosystems in the area. This of course must be a common concern so that efforts to green the earth can be done simultaneously.
