Cooking thought to be almost extinct salamander alive, this chef got harsh criticisms from netizen

But unfortunately, the increasingly scarce population of salamanders makes this species is on the verge of extinction. Therefore, when Chef Wang Gang uploaded a video when he was cooking this salamander alive on his YouTube channel, many netizens gave him harsh criticisms.

Reportedly by Sputnik News, on March 16th 2019, Wang Gang is one of the most famous chefs on social media. He often uploads his cooking videos and reaps a lot of praise. But it was different when he brought a large salamander which was still alive, and killed it right in front of the camera. "Hi everyone, I'm Wang Gang. Today I will teach you how to cook salamanders" Chef Wang said at the opening of the video.

The four-minute video shows how to cook salamander. At first on that video, Chef Wang introduced himself, then after that he hit the living salamander's head with the tip of the knife. After that, the boiled the salamander, then the stomach contents are removed and cleaned. From there the 29-year-old chef, also prepared other spices then saute salamander meat.

Responding to criticism from netizens, Chef Wang finally uploaded a video of his apology. As well as explaining, that the salamander he cooked is not an almost extinct salamander species, but salamanders from the farm. Over the past few years, the salamander population in China continued to decline by 80% which then classify it as a rare species, which is heavily protected.
