Pekanbaru becomes the host of the 100th anniversary of the Damkar, Minister of Home Affairs leads the ceremony and suggests that Damkar, Satpol PP, and Linmas to be more independent

News24xx.com - Wednesday, March 6, 2019, Pekanbaru City, which was appointed as the host of the 100th Anniversary of firefighters (Damkar), the 69th of PP police force (Satpol PP) and the 57th of Village security force (Satlinmas) turns festive. Interior Minister Tjahjo Koemolo leads the ceremony at Kaharudin Nasution Rumbai Stadium.

Not only that, the activity held at the Kaharudin Nasution Rumbai Stadium, on March 6, 2019 is expected to not only be a mere agenda, but it is expected to foster the spirit of the personnels of Damkar, Satpol PP and Satlinmas to be more independent and ready to provide their services anytime in the society.

The anniversary of Damkar, Satpol PP and Satlinmas was directly led by the Pekanbaru City Fire and Rescue Chief, Burhan Gurning, as Officer of the Pekanbaru City Regional Secretary Ceremony Drs. H. Mohd Noer MBS, SH, M.Sc., MH and Inspector of Ceremony of Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Koemolo.

The finished leading the ceremony, Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Koemolo said that if the personnel of Damkar, Satpol PP and Linmas should be able to provide services in the midst of the community.

"We want to continue optimizing the function of Damkar, Satpol PP, and Satlinmas to fully serve the community" said Interior Minister Tjahjo Koemolo.

Included in the implementation of the 2019 Election, said Minister of Home Affairs, Damkar, Satpol PP and Satlinmas which are the bodies under the control of the Ministry of Home Affairs must contribute to the success of the election by establishing collaboration with the police.

"One of them is in guarding the polling stations and the General Election Commission (KPU) offices" hoped Interior Minister Tjahjo Koemolo.

Furthermore, Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Koemolo said that the function of serving the community is not only in licensing and regulation, including the functions of the Damkar, Linmas and Satpol PP that are still needed.

"I think that is the point, so that in the future service to the community is not just about licensing and regulatory aspects" said Interior Minister Tjahjo Koemolo.

Commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Damkar, the 69th Satpol PP and the 57th Satlinmas on national level in 2019 at the Rumbai Kaharudin Nasution Stadium, on Wednesday, March 6th 2019 morning with various attractions, one of which is martial arts attraction, yong modo, jiujitsu , kempo and boxing were displayed by Pekanbaru Satpol PP personnel.

Not only that, the most amazing attraction that was shown by Satpol PP personnel was breaking up materials such as tiles, concrete blocks and bending iron wires with their necks and breaking steel wires just by using their fingers.

A number of attractions from Pekanbaru Satpol PP personnel received appreciation from one of them, Head of the Satpol PP of Mamuju Regency, Adnan Rasyid. He stated that this national level activity was quite festive.

"This is a very festive anniversary celebration. Hopefully the Satpol PP, Damkar and Satlinmas corps will become more prosperous in the future" he hoped.

On the other hand, the Mayor of Pekanbaru - Firdaus, who before the ceremony continued to monitor the preparation for the implementation of the Anniversary of Damkar, Satlinmas and Satpol PP, said he was satisfied with the implementation of the national event in Pekanbaru.

"Preparations are ready, it went well as expected before" said the mayor while accompanying the Minister of Home Affairs.

Previously, the presence of a national level event that brought thousands of people to Pekanbaru, is expected to have a positive impact on economic development in Pekanbaru.

"There are around 6000 visitors who came to Pekanbaru from all over Indonesia to take part in this national event in Pekanbaru. Hotels will be filled and also the culinary center will be crowded" said the Secretary of the Pekanbaru - M Noer.

On the other hand, the Head of the Damkar in Pekanbaru City, Burhan Gurning said, it was not easy for Pekanbaru City to be able to be picked as the host of national level events such as the anniversary of the Damkar,

"We have submitted a request to be a host since the beginning of last year, after the ceremony of the anniversary of Damkar in Ambon last year" said Gurning, who several times visited the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the readiness of the city of Pekanbaru as the host.

Present at the 100th Anniversary of the Fire, the 69th Satpol PP and the 57th Satlinmas national level in 2019 is the Governor of Riau Syamsuar, Deputy Governor of Riau Edy Afrizal Natar Nasution, Mayor of Pekanbaru Firdaus and Deputy Mayor Ayat Cahyadi.

Then there were also representatives of regional heads, Head of Satpol PP in Indonesia, Riau Forkopimda and Pekanbaru City, Secretary of Regional city M Noer and officials in the Riau Provincial Government and city government of Pekanbaru.
