Indonesia named as the best halal tourism destination in GMTI 2019

News24xx.com - Indonesia again made an achievement, this time from halal tourism. Indonesia won first place for world halal tourism in Mastercard-Crescent's Rating Global Muslim Travel Index 2019. This was revealed in the latest Mastercard-Crescent Rating Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) 2019 report presented at Pullman Thamrin Hotel, Jakarta, on Tuesday, April 9th 2019, Indonesia won first place with Malaysia.

In his speech, Fazal praised the Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya for his efforts to bring Indonesia in the top position of GMTI. After five years since joining GMTI, Indonesia finally won the most prestigious position in the global halal tourism scene.

Minister of Tourism himself, Arief Yahya expressed his happiness after Indonesia was declared as the top in the halal tourism market in the world. This is one of the biggest achievements during his time as minister.
