These are the top five of the most used and predictable passwords used by online users

News24xx.com - Online accounts with weak passwords are certainly a favorite for hackers. Apparently, according to a study conducted by the British cyber security agency, the National Cyber ??Security Center (NCSC) found 123456 as the most used password by accounts that had been hacked.

NCSC collects this data by analyzing public databases containing accounts that had been hacked to see the combination of words and numbers that are widely used as passwords. Apparently, 123456 topped the list of passwords of the accounts that had been hacked and the number is so huge, more than 23 million accounts used that password, and in the second position is 123456789 which used by 7.7 million accounts.

While the other three passwords that are also in the top five positions are 'qwerty', 'password' and '1111111'. Many internet users also use names as their passwords, and names like Ashley, Michael, Daniel, Jessica and Charlie are the passwords that had been hacked the most.

NCSC Technical Director, Ian Levy, said internet users should not use commonly known words or names as the password for their account. The NCSC also recommends internet users to use a password consisting of three random words but easy to remember.
