Expert explain the reason why we often feel sleepy after breakfast
News24xx.com - Nutritionist Prof. Dr.Ir. Hardinsyah, MS, said there are several things that could make someone feel sleepy after breakfast. It could be due to eating too little so there is less energy to carry out activities that make someone feels sleepy, or too much so the body have to work hard to digest the foods and cause us to feel sleepy.
"But if done properly, breakfast will not cause sleepiness. This means breakfast have to be in sufficient portions" he said some time ago. However, it is advisable not to skip breakfast so that the body can stay focus on the day.
"With breakfast you will not be out of focus in doing your work in the office" said Prof. Hardin.
Breakfast can be done around 30-60 minutes after waking up to prepare the digestive system before filling it up with food. Don't forget to pay attention to your food menu and portion.
