Its 235th anniversary went festive and splendor, Pekanbaru is ready to become the capital city of Sumatera

News24xx.com - Tuesday June 25, 2019, Pekanbaru City has reached its 235 years of age on Saturday, June 22, 2019. To commemorate and enliven this special day, there are various activities held in the Capital of Riau Province.

The series of activities in the City have been held since June 16, 2019 ago, Like Jalan Santai in Tampan District. There are also many series of events in welcoming Pekanbaru anniversary in 2019, one of which is Action of Cleaning the Siak River on June 20, 2019. The Mayor of Pekanbaru, Dr. Firdaus MT went down directly and helped clean up the Siak River.

Also there is the 2019 Dragon Boat Festival which took place from June 21 to 23 on the Siak River. And there is also Okura Da'wah Tourism from 29 to 30 June 2019.

So many activities done to enliven the anniversary of Pekanbaru are deliberately made so people do not forget history. And of course to appreciate the services of the founders of Pekanbaru City, Riau Province.

"We invite the public to remember the history on the Siak River which is not separated from the history of the establishment of Pekanbaru which was founded by Sultan Muhammad Ali Abduljalil Muazzam Shah," said Mayor of Pekanbaru, Dr. Firdaus MT.

One of the events on the Anniversary is grave pilgrimage in the Pekanbaru Grand Mosque complex, Sunday, on June 23rd, 2019) morning. Deputy Mayor of Pekanbaru, Ayat Cahyadi together with the Head of the Regional Tools Organization (OPD) prayed for the founders of Pekanbaru City, Sultan Muhammad Ali Abdul Jalil Muazzam Shah, otherwise known as Marhum Pekan.

The group sprinkled flowers starting from the grave of Sultan AbduI Jalil Alamuddin Syah or Marhum Bukit. After the grave pilgrimage, they attended a plenary meeting of Pekanbaru Anniversary in the Pekanbaru City DPRD building.

Furthermore, on Monday, June 24, 2019, Pekanbaru city government with Forkompimda held a ceremony at the Tenayan Raya Office Complex, Pekanbaru. Deputy Mayor of Pekanbaru Ayat Cahyadi acted as Ceremony Inspector.

The anniversary ceremony was held in conjunction with the commemoration of National Family Day at Pekanbaru City level. According to Ayat Cahyadi, in the age of Pekanbaru which is 235 on this year, the population in the city of Pekanbaru has reached 1.1 million people, so that the potential for social problems occurs a lot and must be addressed well.

With a population reaching 1.1 million, Pekanbaru continues to be a good prima donna for the community as well as migrants including investors. So that Pekanbaru which continues to develop into a Big City have to be prepared to face many social problems such as homelessness and beggars, the floods, and so on.

And the Government of the Mayor of Pekanbaru, Dr. Firdaus MT and Deputy Mayor Ayat Cahyadi have asked all heads of OPD to find solutions and continue to innovate. Of course, by prioritizing excellent service to the community.
