News24xx.com - The Pekanbaru City Government proposed a 2019 Amendment to the Revised Regional Budget (APBD-P) of IDR 2.6 trillion. This budget will be used to pay last year's debt, public street lighting (PJU) electricity bills, and incentives for RT and RW heads.

Pekanbaru Mayor Firdaus after delivering the 2019 APBD draft and 2020 APBD draft in a plenary meeting on Monday (8/19/2019), said the 2019 APBD draft and 2020 APBD draft had been submitted to the legislature. It is hoped that the discussion of the 2019 APBD-P draft and 2020 APBD can be completed by the legislature within two weeks.

"So, before the end of this month can be finished," he added.

In the APBD-P, Pekanbaru City Government rationalized to settle last year's debts that were delayed paid. The amount of this delay is around IDR160 billion.

"In essence, the rationalization that we are doing is delaying work this year. We focus on paying for work that was done last year," Firdaus explained.

The 2019 APBD-P draft also included plans for paying the PJU electricity bill and incentives for the heads of RT and RW. This plenary meeting is the final discussion of the proposed general budget policy and the 2019 APBD-P provisional budget ceiling priority (KUA-PPAS).

On 13 August, Pekanbaru DPRD members approved the KUA PPAS APBD-P proposal from the Pekanbaru City Government in the amount IDR Rp2,687,000,000. This proposal has increased from the APBD-P last year of around IDR132 billion.
