News24xx.com - The Riau Malay Customary Institution (LAM) claimed to be ready to defend Ustaz Abdul Somad (UAS) who had been accused of being a blasphemy suspect.

In fact they will also form a UAS defense team if indeed the lecture through the video is then disputed. This statement was expressed by the Chairman of the Riau Malay Customary Institution for Islamic Religion, Gamal Abdul Nasir, Monday, August 19, 2019.

"I just complete from what was conveyed by the Chairperson of the Riau LAM Daily Management Board (DPH) Syahril Abu Bakar that the Riau LAM will protect and be ready to die to defend the UAS," he said.

Their defense is not only because the UAS has an adat title from LAM Riau, but also what is conveyed by Ustaz through his tausiah which is spread through social media is only internal to Muslims.

While from the perspective of Islam itself, what is delivered by the UAS is true in accordance with the teachings that have been delivered. Conversely, if other religions do the same thing according to him the Muslims also do not matter.

Because all of that is contained in the Koran Surah Al-Baafs verses 1-6 which says say you disbelievers, (1) I will not worship what you worship. (2) And you are not the Rabb worshiper whom I worship. (3) And I have never been a worshiper of what you worship, (4) and you have never (also) been a worshiper of the Rabb I worship. (5) For you your religion, and for me, my religion.

"The UAS lectures are for Muslims. So please remember that what is delivered is true according to Islam. If according to other religions it is perfectly natural. We also never questioned other religious leaders to play down our religion (Islam). He said to "While he is like that, in my opinion it is only natural. Also if other religions listen then angry is certainly also reasonable. So other people should not have to listen to it," he stressed.
