Prohibition of Extortion and Gratification Issued, List: May Riau Exit the red zone of corruption

Senator coordinator Ahlul Fadli hopes that from the birth of the letter numbered 143 / SE / 2019 issued on August 20, 2019 it can reduce the level of corruption and expel Riau from the red zone of corruption.

"The results of the Corruption Eradication Commission's integrity assessment survey in 2016 and 2017 showed that around 11 percent of Riau government employees had heard and seen their colleagues accepting bribes or gratuities. Riau ranked 7th out of 15 provincial governments surveyed," he said.

KPK data also shows that employees in Riau often ask for money from people who are dealing with them. Increased from 8 percent in 2016 to 10 percent in 2017.

"Hopefully the Governor Syamsuar's circular can reduce the level of corruption and remove Riau from the red zone of corruption," he concluded.
