Ahead of the Ring Sun Eclipse Phenomenon, Siak District Government and LAPAN Holds Meeting

News24xx.com - In order to prepare for observing the Ring Solar Eclipse (GMC) in Siak Regency, 26 December 2019, the Regional Government of Siak will hold a meeting with the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (LAPAN).

The meeting was held at the Lapan office, Jakarta, Tuesday 10 September 2019. The meeting was attended directly by the Regent of Siak Alfedri, Assistant II of the Regional Secretariat of Siak Hendrisan Regency, Head of Tourism Office of Siak Fauzi Asni Regency, and from Lapan himself Erna Sri adiningsih the Main Secretariat of Lapan, and the Head of Public Relations Lapan Jasyanto.

Head of Public Relations of Lapan, Jasyanto said, the phenomenon of the Ring Solar Eclipse, is a rare and very rare natural phenomenon, for the next GMC could occur again around 300 years to come.

"For the upcoming GMC on 26 December 2019, it can be seen in all parts of Indonesia, but in the form of rings only in several regions, namely Padang Sidempuan, Sibolga, Siak Regency, and Riau Islands and parts of northern West Kalimantan in Singkawang Regency," explained Kabag The Lapan PR.

Although the ring-shaped can only be seen in parts of the region, Siak Regency was chosen as the center of observation of the Ring of Solar Eclipse.

"So that later, national media and eclipse observers will gather in Siak, to observe this rare phenomenon," Jasyanto said.

Jasyanto also hopes that the peak of the GMC phenomenon will only last for 2 minutes at exactly 12:17:42 IWST, therefore, let us together succeed the GMC observation activities.

Siak Regent Alfedri who attended the preparatory meeting expressed his gratitude and thanks for choosing Siak Regency as the center for observing the Ring of the Solar Eclipse.
 
"Alhamdulillah, from a number of regions that can see directly the peak of GMC, Siak Regency, precisely in Bunsur Village was chosen as the center of observation," said Alfedri.

To succeed the GMC observation activities, he continued, there are several activities that we will carry out, namely solar eclipse praying in congregation, grand tablol, educational socialization for school children, scientific writing competitions, photography and bazaar competitions and religious entertainment that we will invite Nisya Sabyan

"For the observation of the Ring of Solar Eclipse, it will be centered in two locations namely on the ball field of Bunsur Village and the town of Siak Sri Indrapura precisely in Taman Tengku Agung and Water Front City," explained Alfedri.

Still Alfedri said, in this historic moment, InsyaAllah Siak Regency Government will plan to break three Muri Records, namely by presenting the most viewers, making the largest eclipse glasses and making the most pinhole binoculars.
