News24xx.com - Although being hit by the haze, Riau athletes who are practicing preparing themselves to face the Pre PON and Regional Office 2019 still continue to actively practice.

Related to this, the Chairman of KONI Riau, Emrizal Pakis, ensured that his party had not yet received a report from the sports developer, there were athletes who experienced health problems, both ISPA or others.

"So far there have been no reports to us (athletes who are sick due to haze). But we will continue to monitor the future," said Emrizal to Riau1.com, Wednesday, September 11, 2019.

In addition, Emrizal Pakis said, his party urged the trainers to pay attention to air conditions, especially for athletes who practice outdoors.

"The trainer must pay attention to the development of smoke if it gets worse the initiative should take steps to take a break first. If, the smoke has improved the exercise can be continued again," he said.

Emrizal said he was worried about the smog that had hit Riau today. Because, this haze can disrupt the schedule of athletes who will follow the 2019 Pre PON championship in a number of regions in Indonesia.

"Do not repeat the incident 5 years ago, our athletes were delayed leaving, some departed through Batam Airport, Padang and North Sumatra (North Sumatra), and some even used land routes," he said.

"If the smoke haze gets worse and interferes with visibility of flights at the Sultan Syarif Kasim II International Airport in Pekanbaru, this certainly reduces the chances of athletes competing in the Pre-PON," he concluded.
