In 2015, the Air Pollution Standards Index (ISPU) was above the level of 400. At that time, conditions were very severe.

"Now, ISPU is still around level 200. But when it is on the verge of boundaries like this, we take action to dismiss children," Firdaus said.

For residents who are vulnerable to smoke pollution there is no prohibition to evacuate to West Sumatra Province. That will be better for health.

"We also don't forbid evacuation," Firdaus said.
