Riau Provincial Government Asks High-Year Car Users to Use Non-Subsidized Fuel

Several gas stations in Riau currently have a queue to buy subsidized fuel. For this reason, the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of Riau Province has asked the Riau people to be more prudent in responding to the allocation of fuel.

Riau ESDM Agency Head Indra Agus Lukman said certain fuel allocations for certain users such as Premium and Solar were in accordance with ESDM Minister Regulation No. 18/2013.

"For queuing issues, all consumers should have awareness. Which is suitable for consumption. Premium and diesel fuel are fuel assignments for people who are entitled to receive subsidies," Indra said, Thursday, October 10, 2019.

He added, if referring to the regulations, users who are entitled to use this type of fuel are micro businesses, fisheries businesses, agricultural businesses, transportation and public services.

"For this reason, we urge private car users in high years to use outside of this type such as Pertalite, Pertadex or Dexlite as well as mining transport trucks, CPO oil tank trucks, log trucks and trucks outside public transport," he concluded.
