Trying to Balance Russia and America, China Has Successfully Developed Its Latest Rocket

News24xx.com - China is rumored to be testing the launch of the next two space rockets, the Smart Dragon series planned for commercial use in 2020 and 2021.

Reported by Reuters on Sunday (20 Ocotber) the flight schedule by China Rocket Co., a state owned by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp, will be carried out two months after the first rocket, Smart Dragon-1, was successful in delivering three satellites into orbit.

The official Xinhua news agency reported, Smart Dragon-2, which has weigh about 60 tons and a total length of about 21 meters, would be able to send 500 kg of cargo into orbit at an altitude of 500 km or 310 miles. The rocket is expected to conduct a flight test next year.

Xinhua stated, henceforth Smart Dragon-3, weighing 116 tons and 31 meters long, will be tested to fly in 2021 and is believed to be able to send 1.5 tons of cargo into orbit.

In July, Beijing-based iSpace became the first Chinese private company which successfully send satellites into orbit using a rocket. In addition, at the end of last year, two other startups had tried to launch satellites but were still unsuccessful.

Based on the report, the two Smart Dragon series of this Chinese rocket will be successful again in its launch test in 2020 and 2021.
