News24xx.com - The Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency (BPPRD) Meranti held a socialization and training of Tax Revenue Management System Application (SITANJAK), for the apparatus of Tax and Restribution management.

The activity was opened by Meranti Islands Regional Secretary H. Yulian Norwis SE MM, at the Ballroom Hotel, AKA Meranti, Friday (11/29/2019).

Also attending the event was Legislator Meranti H. Muzamil, Assistant III of the Secretary of the District Secretary. Msranti H. Rosdaner, Head of the Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency Eri Suhairi S. Sos, resource person from the Inhu M. Arifin Regency Tax and Restitution Management Agency, and the relevant OPD representative participants.

The Secretary of the Meranti Islands Region, H. Yulian Norwis, said that according to the Indonesian President's Instruction, the regions are required to explore sources of regional income, one of which is through taxes and levies. With the maximum PAD from taxes, the region will be able to be more independent in promoting its development.

"So when we are able to intensify the acceptance of regional revenue sources, we are no longer completely dependent on the Central Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH) which is often constrained due to the country's financial deficit," Yulian explained.

And the application of the SITANJAK application, according to him, is a good breakthrough in responding to the challenges of the current Industrial Era 4.0 which demands that everything is fast, efficient and effective.

"With the implementation of this system, the management of taxes and levies will no longer be done manually but already uses an integrated system that will produce fast, transparent and professional services.

Yulian hopes that by implementing this system, it can maximize local tax management. In addition it will make it easier for Meranti BPPRD officers to explore new sources of revenue that have the potential to increase regional revenue.

"With the Application of the System there are no more levies that are made directly, and this can minimize the occurrence of illegal levies that lead to criminal problems," he explained.
