Rosita, the victim's aunt who is a resident of Bandar Lampung, reported the incident to the police.

The stepmother was arrested by the police and is now languishing in the Pesawaran Police Headquarters holding cell.

"The incident occurred on Friday, November 20, 2019, at around 20:00 West Indonesia Time. Initially, the suspect hit the victim's head with a wooden broom handle twice. Not satisfied, the perpetrator then forcibly pulled the victim into the kitchen. "The victim's right hand was then roasted on the burning stove. After that alternating both perpetrators' hands held the victim's left hand, then roasted it also on the stove that was lit," Popon added.

After that, the perpetrator left the victim crying in pain.

The victim's hands were blistered. Without thinking, the perpetrator then asked the victim to soak his hand in sea water.

However, the victim's injuries were getting worse. "Now the perpetrators have been arrested," Popon said.

Perpetrators are now threatened with 10 years in prison.
