Reynhard Sinaga's Father Becomes Fugitive of Case of Forest Encroachment in Riau

The Reynhard Sinaga case which was proven to rape 48 men in Manchester, England shocked Indonesia. Because Reynhard is called the largest same-sex  predator in British history.

But behind the case, it turned out that Reynhard's father, Saibun Sinaga, was apparently in trouble with the law. Saibun got entangled in a case of forest encroachment in Riau by his company, PT. Sinaga Ronatama Agro Oil and Gas.

From the information gathered, Saibun's whereabouts are unknown and are included in the Riau Provincial Forestry Department's Environmental and Forestry Personnel List.

Riau Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner Pol Sunarto, confirmed the information. However, Sunarto has not been able to reveal further.

"I got this information, but I can't explain further,"  Sunarto launched from kumparan, Thursday, January 9, 2020.

Previously Reynhard suddenly became a public conversation after being sentenced for entire life for the rape of 48 men in England.

Reynhard earned his Bachelor's degree at the University of Indonesia with a major in Architecture. After completing his studies at UI, Reynhard then continued his S2 studies at Manchester University with a major in sociology in 2007. Reynhard's family lived in Depok, West Java.

Even though Saibun is a DPO in the Riau Provincial Government's Office of Environment and Forestry, he can still be contacted by telephone regarding his son's case. Saibun said he did not want to interfere further in the case of his son. He said the court sentence was in accordance with Reynhard's actions.

"We accept the verdict. The sentence is in accordance with the crime. I do not want to discuss this case further," said Saibun as reported by the BBC.
