A Container Truck Was Flip Over, 7 Vehicles Were Struck Down in Cipularang Toll Rest Area, Here's the Chronology

News24xx.com - A terrible traffic accident occurred in the Km 97 Rest Area of ??Cipularang Toll Road, Line B (from Bandung to Jakarta), on Friday (17 January 2020). A container truck overturned and hit seven vehicles parked at the rest area.

There were no fatalities in the incident, but one person was broken and had to receive intensive treatment at MH Thamrin Hospital. The victim is known as Intan, a resident of Cileungsi, Gunung Putri, Bogor.

Six vehicles hit by container trucks include Toyota Rush D 1417 SGN, Avanza D 1736 AFR, Inova D 1892 AEX, Inova Venturer F 1427 RI, Volvo B 8633 BD sedan, Inova B 2810 SOH, and Avanza D 350 VY.

Based on the recognition of the container driver, Ahmad Humaidi (21), a resident of Kampung Kareo Kukun, Serang Regency, Banten, the incident began when the vehicle he was driving drove from Bandung to Jakarta. When entering the Rest Area 97 B, suddenly the brakes of the truck he was driving failed.

Humaidi also tried hard to control his vehicle so as not to crash into cars that were parked in the rest area. However, still, the large vehicle suddenly swung and capsized with the right wheel facing north. The truck then hit seven parked vehicles.

"We immediately evacuated the victims and vehicles that were affected in this incident. For further handling, we will hand this case over to the Purwakarta Police Precinct Traffic Unit, "said Cipularang Toll Road Patrol officer, Aiptu Teguh Subiyantoro.
