BENGKALIS- Forest and Land Fires (Karhutla) occurred in the Tualang Mandau sub-district, which is opposed by Tasik Serai Village, which is rumored to be increasingly widespread.

The fire even started four days ago until this day the fire is still being extinguished by the joint Karhutla Bengkalis team.

"In rupat also still in blackouts and recovery. Extinguishing is done there by lowering the joint Karhutla team, but we have difficulty installing heavy equipment to make the canal blocking so that the fire does not spread," he said.

Because it does not use heavy equipment, fire cannot be carried out with a blackout siege. This is done so that the fire does not enter the forest area that is protected by the forest and land fires.

"The area of ??land here is around five hectares. Currently the officers are conducting a blackout at the location, both from the TNI, Mangala Police and also the local MPA," said Dandim again.

Meanwhile, the Head of Bengkalis BPBD Tajul Mudaris confirmed that the forest and land fires in Tasik Serai Village had almost solved the Giam Siak Kecil Biosphere Reserve area. Until now, there are still blackouts by the joint team.

"The extinction is still being done, the fire has not yet entered the Biosphere Reserve area, but indeed the forest and land fires that occurred are not far from there," said Tajul Mudaris.

In addition to land blackouts, air blackouts are now being carried out in the Tasik Serai region. An air blackout attempt was carried out by water bombing using a helicopter from PT Arara Abadi.
