SIAK-Caring for fellow human beings has become an obligation for every human being, both in terms of religion, and socially. As was done by Hj Rasidah Alfedri, Chairperson of the Siak Regency National Crafts Council (Dekranasda).

Because of his love and affection for his fellow human beings, Rasidah who is also the wife of Siak Regent, descended directly into the field from house to house to provide groceries to needy people, at the Dekranasda Shares activities.

"This activity is a form of our concern for poor people as well as friendship for the poor," Rasidah said in one of the residents' homes.

Tatik (67) who got the help felt surprised because he was personally visited by Rasidah and his entourage. Although a little reluctant because of the condition of his house, Tatik looked happy and immediately chatted with Rasidah and other administrators.

Tatik is an old woman who lives alone. For many years he lived in Langsat Permai village, Bungaraya sub-district. The hut she lived in is her neighbors.

The wife of Siak Regent is concerned about the condition of the poor people especially the old widows who live alone. She hopes that the assistance given will be beneficial to the residents who receive it.

According to the Permai Langsat Permai Pujianta, the number of poor people in his area is not too many. However, assistance from the central and regional governments is also received as well as assistance from the Siak District Baznas.

"The awareness of the people here to pay zakat is quite high, that's why the percentage of assistance from the Baznas Regency to our village is more," said Pujianta.

In addition, we have also proposed assistance for livable homes to Riau Province. "Hopefully in the near future it can be fulfilled," he hoped.

The group of women arrived at Rasmi's house (26) housewife in Tuah Indrapura village, Bungaraya district, who are already skilled in weaving.

Rasmi recounted the experience of weaving that she started from 2013 ago, had stopped because she was married. Then weave again in 2019.

"Thank God for the help of this loom loan I can help the family economy, without having to go back and forth from home to Siak," she said.

She hoped that the women in her village can get similar assistance and be taught how to make Siak woven cloth properly. Let's women, we have activities that produce at home.

Regarding this matter, Chairman of the Dekranasda of Siak Regency, Rasidah Alfedri, said that the Dekranasda lacked weavers. While in place there are eight units of looms.
