Strange Hurricanes in Spain; Foam as High as Adult Waist Covers the Entire City

News24xx.com - The city of Mallorca is reportedly destroyed by the big waves. Not only Mallorca, but several other cities in Spain are also covered in foam. At least four people have been killed and 200,000 helpless.

A video shows the waves crashing against the seafront wall and sending water flowing on the road to the building at Cala Ratjada in Mallorca.

While at the Costa Brava holiday resort in Tossa de Mar, locals were awakened by a view of sea foam that had invaded part of the city. From the video, it appears the height of the foam reaches the waist of an adult woman.

Hurricane Gloria is expected to bring heavy rain to Catalonia today. Rivers in areas like Girona are expected to overflow. The Interior Minister described the storm as "extraordinary".

Costa Blanca, Costa Brava, and the Balearic Islands have become one of the areas worst affected by the storm.

Alicante Airport, closed last week by fire on the roof, must be closed again for one and a half days from Sunday as a precaution.
