Supply Declines, Fish Prices in Tembilahan Increase Naturally

News24xx.com - The price of the number of fishes in Tembilahan, Indragiri Hilir (Inhil), Riau has increased. The types of fish are sea fish such as bloated fish, lemongrass fish, happy fish, and others.

If usually, the price of fish ranges around IDR60 thousand per kilogram, the last few days the price of fish has reached IDR80 thousand per kilogram.

One fish trader, Awi said, the price increase was due to a decrease in fish supply obtained by traders from distributors.

"In recent days fish supply has declined, while consumer demand is still high," said Awi.

Awi added the soaring price of sea fish was caused by the difficulty of fishermen getting fish because of the high waves that occurred.

"The decline in the supply of sea fish is one reason due to high waves and strong sea winds so that not many fishermen go down to the sea to capture fish," he continued.
