BENGKALIS- The joint team in the search for a speed boat carrying 20 migrant workers who sank in the waters of North Rupat, Bengkalis district is still ongoing.

The search for the undiscovered victims began at 08.00 WIB this morning.

This was conveyed by Bengkalis Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Sigit Adiwuryanto S.IK MH who directly led the search effort on the second day. According to him the search was still carried out around the sinking speed boat's location.

"This morning we were in the field conducting a sweep around the dive boat speed location," said AKBP Sigit.

Expressed Sigit AKBP, for the conditions in the waters of North Rupat waters at this time the waves are quite high. But not interfered the search effort that was done.

So far until last night only one victim has been found with a female gender. The body of the victim has been evacuated to Dumai Regional Hospital.
