5 Dangers That Lurk When Frequently Drinking Tea
News24xx.com - Drinking tea is refreshing, but drinking tea should be no more than five cups a day. If you consume too much tea every day and this has been going on for years, you risk some health problems. Be careful with the following side effects.
1. Insomnia
Just like coffee, tea also contains caffeine which is quite high. One cup of black tea and green tea contains about 40 milligrams of caffeine. Even though it's less than caffeine in a cup of coffee, if you consume too much you risk experiencing various sleep disorders.
Maybe your body is feeling tired but your eyes are hard to close or you will wake up suddenly in the middle of the night. If you are sensitive to caffeine, drinking tea before going to sleep will make sleep disturbance worse at night.
2. Restless
Caffeine will indeed have different effects on each person. So, mostly drinking tea can cause some people to feel restless, anxious, and uneasy because of the caffeine content in tea. Some people also feel dizzy, headaches, and chest palpitations so that the body becomes very uncomfortable.

3. Addiction
Accustomed to consuming caffeinated drinks risks causing dependence. These stimulants do have opiate properties so you will have difficulty stopping or reducing the amount of tea consumed in one day. People who are addicted will have difficulty concentrating, feeling weak, and headaches when trying to reduce their consumption of drinks with these stimulants.
4. Anemia
For people who have problems with iron absorption and bleeding disorders, most drinking tea can lead to anemia. This is caused by the tannin content in tea which can interfere with the process of absorption of iron by the body. According to a report from Colorado State University, drinking tea can reduce iron absorption by up to 60%.
5. Osteoporosis
Most drinking tea increases the risk of osteoporosis due to reduced bone density. Healthy bones need lots of calcium to stay strong.
Meanwhile, drinking more than three cups of green tea a day can increase calcium levels that are wasted from the body through urine. In fact, tea itself is diuretic or triggers the kidneys to produce and excrete urine.
