BENGKALIS- In order to socialize and increase community participation in the Regency Sports Week (Porkab) event, Bengkalis Regency 2020. KONI Bengkalis Regency will hold a mascot and logo design contest.

The contest is open for Bengkalis Regency community both individuals and teams. This was conveyed by the Chairperson of KONI Bengkalis Regency, Darma Firdaus Sitompul to reporters.

"We will open this contest today (January 25-ed) until February 4, 2020. Then for the announcement of the winner, we plan on February 10, 2020, "said Darma Firdaus, Saturday, January 25, 2020.

He again said, with this mascot and logo contest, he hoped the general public know from the start that KONI is together with the Bengkalis Regency Government.
 

"If there is no change, this Porkab will be held next April by competing 23 sports and will be followed by 11 sub-districts in Bengkalis Regency," he said.

"The sport that will be contested in Porkab III is adjusted to the sport that will be competed at the Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) in Kuansing in 2021," he said.

Mascot and logo, continued Darma Firdaus, participants were required to be as creative. Both the mascot and logo design should reflect the vision, mission, characteristics and culture of Bengkalis Regency. Then it is interesting, innovative, simple, easy to remember and illustrates the spirit and sportsmanship of the sport.

For the mascot, the design is in the form of objects in the form of animals or flora which become Bengkalis Regency icon. "This mascot will also later become a pictogram (logo) icon of sports branches that are contested," he said again.
