20 Illegal Migrant Workers Drowned in Rupat Waters, Bengkalis Police Set Two Suspects

continued to search for migrant workers who had drowned in the waters of North Rupat, Bengkalis Regency, Riau.
This was conveyed by the Head of Bengkalis Police, AKBP Sigit Adiwuryanto. Sigit said that the search for Speed ??Boat victims who were carrying 20 illegal Indonesian workers (TKI) who were hit by waves and drowned on Tuesday, January 21, continued searching.
"The search has now shifted from the position of the sinking location in the northern waters around 13 miles from the coast," Bengkalis Police Chief Sigit Adiwuryanto said on Saturday.

As stated by AKBP Sigit, the search for victims by deploying the same ship as from the previous day was from the fleet of Bengkalis, Bengkalis, Basarnas and fleets of the Navy.
Sigit said the victim was found last Thursday. Currently according to information from the Dumai Regional Hospital, it has been identified by the name Azizah, a North Sumatra Coal resident.
"Yes, for the body that we found last Thursday it has been successfully identified, his name is Azizah, a North Sumatra (North Sumatra) Coal resident and today her family has arrived in Dumai and will bring his remains home," said the police chief.
Still said Sigit AKBP, while with this incident the Bengkalis Police had set suspects including Revo (52) who is a citizen of the North Rupat cingam river and M alias Linda (39) Sukarjo machine residents. They are believed to be collectors of migrant workers.
"In addition to the two suspects, we are still exploring the existence of the tekong who is carrying this anonymous speed boat, based on information from the two suspects who have been secured that the tekong is reportedly still alive, at this time the police are still making sure whether the tekong is safe or not. And the name of the tekong is the initials S.
"To this day the search for other victims is still nil. Besides, at the moment we are also in the process of deporting a Bangladeshi citizen to be returned to his home country," said the police chief while accompanied by Kasat Polair AKP Rahmad Hidayat. (R24 / Hari)
