Here Are Some Changes In Post-Fire STC 2015, Managers: Store Size Reduced

Head of PT Makmur Papan Permatan Suryanto Branch, manager of STC, Tuesday (1/28/2020), said, due to the 2015 fire disaster, based on the agreement, PT MPP carried out its obligation to rebuild Plaza Sukaramai which was subsequently named Sukaramai Trade Center. The number of shops built is more than the original shop.

"The construction of shops is exaggerated, there are two basic considerations. First, there is a change in the appearance of the building," he said.

So in units, the number of stores increases. However, the store size is reduced.

"Previously, the store area was 20 square meters. Now, the biggest shop is only 12 square meters," he explained.

If the previous owner has one unit, now he gets two units. But the extent of the store is almost identical to the old one.

"Upon changes in the layout of the building, then traders who used to be full of one floor, now become half a floor. We will build another half of the store," said Suryanto.

He emphasized that the stores that had been built were prioritized for fire victims traders. The traders are prioritized because they still have the remaining rights.

The rest of this right has been calculated by the independent team. However, there are two choices left.

"The rest of the rights can be taken. If taken, it means that the next right does not exist because it has been cashed. The second option, can be continued for the next program by resettling until 2046," said Suryanto.

The remaining rights of the traders of fire victims in 2015 were reduced by the price of adjustment. The price adjustment arises because the building is now being rebuilt and the facilities are new.

"The process has ended. It just does not mean that traders who have just registered are not given a chance. We arestill given the opportunity," said Suryanto again. (R24 / put)
