The Mystery of Women's Underwear Thief in Klaten Revealed, Here's How Residents Trapped Perpetrator

This incident was revealed after local residents and police agreed to trap the perpetrators.

They hooked the yarn to a pack of underwear that was deliberately left in the clothesline.

Chairman of Neighborhood, Sarmo explained the entrapment process.

"When the package was taken by the perpetrator, we follow the string until he stopped," said Sarmo.

"After the perpetrator stopped, we did not immediately raid the perpetrators, we first observe what he did," he added.

Then, when the perpetrator stopped at his motorbike, Sarmo and several other residents saw the perpetrator open his motorcycle seat.

Actors likened the seat like a female body part.

Then the perpetrator looks at his handphone and moves like he's having sex.

"After we knew what his motive was, we immediately arrested him and took him to the community hall," said Sarmo.

Then he explained the identity of the perpetrator. "The perpetrator named Ar (17), a resident of Ngalas, South Klaten," explained Sarmo.

Residents and families of the perpetrators agreed to settle the case in a family and not brought to the police.

"The perpetrators were not taken by the Central Klaten Police Station, we handed it over to the parents because their parents came and the perpetrators wanted to sign a statement not to take that action again," he concluded.
