Lord of the Ring Film Producer, Harvey Weinstein Is Charged with 2 Allegations of Sexual Harassment

News24xx.com - The 67-year-old Harvey Weinstein was taken to Rikers Island prison by ambulance on Monday. He has been officially convicted of rape and sexual harassment of two women.

The famous Hollywood film producer was humiliated in court by a New York jury on sexual harassment charges against former production assistant Mimi Haleyi in her apartment in 2006 and the rape of aspiring actress Jessica Mann in a hotel room in 2013.

After a jury of seven men and five women sentenced him, Weinstein told his lawyer: "I am innocent. I'm not guilty. How can this happen in America? '

He was then handcuffed before being taken out of the courtroom through a side door without using the walker he used to rely on in most trials.

Weinstein was then taken to a hospital in Rikers Island prison in New York City in an ambulance with emergency lights and sirens on.
