News24xx.com - Kenneka Jenkins, 19 years old was partying with a couple of her friends in The Crowne Plaza Hotel and Conference Center in Rosemont, when her friends suddenly lost sight of her.

She was last seen on the ninth floor at 1.30am, local time on September 8th. Her body was found in a walk-in freezer in the hotel’s kitchen on September 10.

In the surveillance video, Jenkins can be seen stumbling down a hallway. She then walked unsteadily through a hotel kitchen, disappearing around a corner. Though the footage didn’t show her entering the freezer, police believe she had let herself into the freezer while drunk, and died inside.

And the world was shook after her bodies was found in freeze in a hotel, and made headlines of many media online.

Jenkins’ friends claim that the hotel staff refused to look for the drunk girl after they reported her missing.

Attorney Larry Rogers said the hotel ‘never checked. They never searched, they never did anything while a young, 19-year-old disoriented girl was sitting in their freezer.’

‘Now there has to be an answer to how that happened. Better yet, there has to be an answer to why that happened.’

After her family reported her missing to the police, the latter told them to wait for a few more hours as Jenkins might show up later.

The family filed a missing persons report at 1.15pm, at which time the hotel searched for Kenneka but failed to find her. It was only after the teen’s parents went to the hotel herself at 6pm that staff phoned police, a second search was mounted and her body was found.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel also announced that they intend to cover the cost of the young woman’s funeral expenses.
