BENGKALIS- Bengkalis Regency Government through the Health Office received assistance of the Rapid Test Covid-19 unit of 612 units from the Central Government.

The assistance was channeled through the Riau Provincial Health Service and has been picked up and according to plan will be used immediately.

"Alhamdulillah, we got help from the Central Government through the Riau Provincial Government with 612 units of Rapid Test equipment. Surely this will really help us in identifying the spread of Covid-19, "said Acting Regent of Bengkalis, H Bustami HY, Monday, March 30, 2020.

Accompanied by Bengkalis District Health Office Secretary, Imam Subchi and Bengkalis Social Head Office, Martini, Bustami said given the limited number, Rapid Test equipment will be prioritized for people who are potentially exposed to Covid-19.

"For example, our nurses are in daily contact with patients (PDP, red)," said Bustami again.

Touched on, What about Insiders in Compliance (ODP), Bustami said for ODP given the number of Rapid Tests is not proportional to the number of ODP that is currently available, then for its use will be as selective as possible.

"This will be the Cluster Team who knows who the ODP will be doing the Rapid Test," he said.

In addition to the Rapid Test, on that occasion Bustami also explained that Bengkalis District also received assistance from Personal Protective Equipment or PPE. The number is very limited and only 5 sets. However, this is enough to help add to the existing APBD.

"In the hospital we also have PPE, so this is to add to the shortcomings," said the Acting Regent again.

Secretary of the Health Service Imam Subchi told reporters, for testing the Rapid Test tool on the ODP, it would use Bengkalis residents who had just arrived from Malaysia today through the port of Bandar Sri Laksamana (BSL).

"We don't know exactly how many of them, we will test them later with a Rapid Test, as well as a health check in the KKP room," Subchi said. (R24 / Hari)
