News24xx.com -  In December 2012, a case of tragic rape was committed by a group of gangs named Nirbhaya in Delhi. At that time, a 7-year-old girl named Zainab was brutally raped before being killed in Kasur, Pakistan.


When the rape case took place, the girl's parents went for an umrah (pilgrimage) in Saudi Arabia and returned to Pakistan on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 so they could not attend their child's funeral prayer.

"I can not speak, I just want justice for my daughter," the mother said was quoted by Dawn.


The victim's father claimed that the police were unwilling to cooperate with the family.

As quoted from the Indiatimes, the girl's family has made a report of loss, before Zainab was found dead after the brutal sexual assault.


"My relatives and neighbors told me that the police just came, ate and left after getting a report when Zainab had disappeared," he told local media.


"While they do nothing, my friends and family spend the day and night to looking for my daughter," he added.

 

The carelessness of the police has led Pakistani residents to demonstrate in Kasur area, northeastern Pakistan. Protests and riots that followed the demonstrate have rocked the country. So far, two protesters have been killed.

 

The news sent shockwaves throughout Pakistan causing widespread anger with demonstrations that erupted in various parts of the country.


Clashes have been reported between protesters and police. The protesters also called the police inability to handle child abduction cases in the region.
