A human without a shadow can be seen on March 21^st tomorrow

Head of Data and Information Center of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Pekanbaru Station Slamet Riyadi, said that the phenomenon of the day without shadow is a routine phenomenon. For Riau Province, this happens twice a year.

Precisely on March 21^st 2018, the phenomenon of the day without the shadow is because the position of the Sun will be just above the Equator. Number of regions in Indonesia will experience it. Including in Riau area which is around equator line.

This phenomenon occurs at exact midday, the position of the sun just above the head. For some time, each object that stands firmly on the Equator will be seen to have almost no shadow from the sun's rays

Slamet Riyadi also said that this phenomenon will  occurs again on September 23^rd 2018. This is also because the Sun is back on the Equator line.

"Riau Province is on the equator, so at certain times, when the Sun is right above the head in its line, it will look like our shadows are not there," he said.

"On the March 21^st, for the short duration of time, only briefly, at the end of noon, around 12 noon.The position of the Sun is above the head, only minimum looks is a bit of our shadow," he said again.
