News24xx.com -  The Turkish Disaster Management Agency has distributed more than 30 tons of humanitarian aid throughout Africa, since on January 20, Ankara launched military operations in the northwestern Syrian region.

According to a statement sent by the AFAD Office in Al Jazeera on Monday, the agency plans to set up camps for 170,000 people in the province of Sidri Idlib, as well as for the Turkish military and union areas controlled by rebels, in the east.

The camps will help the civil movement in these areas, said AFAD.

Turkish troops and soldiers of the free Syrian army (SSA) launched a military operation in Africa in late January to remove the US-backed Kurdish militia - known as the Kurdish People's Militia (KNO) - at its border. Ankara describes the armed group as "terrorists".

The SSA militants, with the support of the Turkish secret services and heavy weapons, captured the center of Afrin on Sunday after they removed the KNO that controlled the city.

The Syrian Human Rights Monitoring Center reported that at least 250,000 civilians had left Afrin since last Wednesday.
