News24xx.com - A tragic incident happened in the football world. A Croatian footballer collapsed and died after being hit by the ball in the chest at a football match. The footballer, Bruno Boban, 25, was pronounced dead on the pitch.
At that time, Bruno who was the Croatian third division's top scorer played againts of Slavonija Pozega team, and suddenly, a player smashed the ball into his chest from close range. But, Bruno try to survive. Only a few minutes, he fell to the ground unconscious.
Realising something was horribly wrong, players from both sides rushed to his aid as those on the touchline called an ambulance. Emergency workers spent almost an hour trying to revive him but he can not to survive.
His team-mates and rivals struggled to fight back tears as medics pronounced him dead at the scene. Until now, the cause of death has not yet been announced.
This is not the first time for a footballer died when competed in match. Earlier this year, amateur footballer Mitchell Joseph died after collapsing during a football match in Swansea, Wales. The talented 32-year-old was playing for St Joseph's FC against fierce rivals Malsters Sports in the Swansea Senior Football league.
In Indonesia, the same incident also happened. At that time, the captain and goalkeeper from Persela Lamongan team passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017.
