Police deploys 150 officers to guard the film shoot in thamrin intersection

News24xx.com - The Police closed the access to Thamrin Street from April 14th to 15th for a film shoot. All vehicles, except Transjakarta were prohibited from going through this street. “Today and tomorrow we deploy 150 officers for security and control the traffic” said the head of Menteng Police, Agus Rizal.

On Saturday, the street was closed from 06:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. local time while on Sunday, it was closed from 11:00 a.m. (after car-free day) to 04:00 p.m.

As cited from Tempo, Saturday, April 14th, the closing access to Thamrin Street caused traffic jam at a number of points, including at Theresia Church Street. The police tried to handle it by directing the vehicles from Sudirman Street that headed to Thamrin, to Kebon Kacang Street, Sutan Syahrir Street or to Imam Bonjol Street.

The vehicles that came from Fachruddin Street were directed to Wahid Hasyim Street, while the vehicles that came from Haji Agus Salim Street that were heading to Wahid Hasyim were asked to keep driving through Haji Agus Salim.

The vehicles from Wahid Hasyim Street that headed to Thamrin Street were asked to turn right or left into Haji Agus Salim Street. The vehicles that came from Kebon Sirih Street were also forbidden to enter Thamrin Street. Meanwhile, those that came from the directions of Diponegoro Prince Statue that headed to HI roundabout was asked to turn left into Kebon Sirih.
