News24xx.com -  In Germany, on the island of Rügen in the area of ??400 square meters found a large pile of coins that dating from the late X century from the time of the king of Harald who ever ruled Denmark in the past.

About three months ago, two amateur archaeologist Sean Rene (Rene Schön) and his assistant Malashnichenko Luca (Luca Malaschnitschenko) explored Rügen island, that located on the Baltic Sea off the coast of Pomerania.

At that moment, they saw something brilliant on the ground. The findings were like pieces of aluminum foil, but they decided to look it more close. Apparently, that was a silver object.

And in mid-April, the excavations are done by professionals. They found about 600 coins, pearls, necklaces, rings, brooches and charms in the form of a hidden Thor hammer over a thousand years ago at that location.

According to archaeologist Michael Schirra (Michael Schirren) the coin came from the time of King Harald.

"We found the date of making the coin around 983. That's means that the treasure is likely to be buried at the end of 980 when King Harald was forced to flee in Pomerania," the historian said.

King Harald came to power in 958. At that time, he succeeded to conquering Norway and parts of Sweden.
