New Shinkansen-lookalike train made in madiun

News24xx.com - Kereta Api Indonesia Cooperation or KAI  is ordering a new trainset series model from Industri Kereta Api Cooperation. The shape of this train will be different from the previous types.

KAI President Director, Edi Sukmoro said the trains have an aerodynamic design, similar to the Japanese Shinkansen. Later, the train will have a nose or muzzle like a plane. So to design the model of the train, Edi said it also has requested assistance to PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) to collaborate with INKA.

"I called PTDI, to help INKA make the nose train like an airplane so it will be made in the country" Edi said some time ago as written on Friday, April 20th 2018.

Edi said that the difference between the Shinkansen Made in Madiun he ordered and the one in Japan was the length of the train. For the Shinkansen Made in Madiun estimated to have a shorter size. "If the Shinkansen is up to 12 meters in length, this will (Made in Madiun) start from 6 meters, but it is similar to Shinkansen, only difference is not that long" he said.

KAI has ordered as many as 10 units from INKA. Later, the 10 trainset can be used for medium and long distance travel. "we ordered 10 trainsets from INKA" said Edi.
